Description

In this course, participants will have the opportunity to go through the entire project cycle, seeing how an intervention unfolds from the assessment to the evaluation stage while testing various tools. The course is based on the Result-Based Management concept and uses the logical framework as a tool.

 

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Define and explain the Result-Based Management concept
  • Explain and apply the various steps of a needs assessment
  • Design projects using the logical framework
  • Program activities
  • Design a monitoring and evaluation systems

Learning outcomes in terms of knowledge

  • Understand the Result-Based Management concept
  • Understand each phase of the project cycle and their links
  • Understand the importance of Project Cycle Management

Learning outcomes in terms of skills

  • Capacity to Identify needs
  • Capacity to design projects
  • Capacity to manage resources efficiently
  • Capacity to monitor and evaluate projects

Learning outcomes in terms of analytical competences

  • Ability to select relevant problems to tackle
  • Ability to decide what interventions would be meaningful (or not)
  • Ability to decide on appropriate corrective measures

 

THEMATIC SHORT COURSE STRUCTURE

- One week intensive training (60 hours including private study)
- Oral or written exam, individually or in a group
- 2 ECTS credits may be awarded provided a post-course assignment is successfully completed

2 weeks before the start of the course
