Description

We are pleased to announce two events for this year's International Day of Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action

Event in Geneva

The GICHD is organising an information day for the general public. Events will include:

  • Documentary screening
  • Interviews with mine victims
  • Demonstration of different types of mines
  • Demonstration from a manual deminer

All are invited; minimum age 9 suggested.

Event in Bern

For the first time, the GICHD is organising an event in Bern. It will be held in the afternoon of April 4 on the Place Fédérale.

  • See an example of a mine field, mine detection machines, demining dogs and a manual deminer
  • Learn more about what is being done for victim assistance and mine risk education around the world
  • At dusk, join us for a candle lighting to remember those who have been affected by mines

Watch this space for more information as it becomes available.
